Speech / Debate, Steve Bernard, HS
Students in this class will learn the basics of public speaking by mastering the skills modeled by the Toastmasters International program. The student will learn how to effectively project their voice in small to large venues and learn effective vocal variety, body movement and gestures. Elements of dialog, group discussion and debate will be explored. In addition, students will learn listening skills that will take them to the next level to effectively evaluate and recommend improvement to their fellow speakers. CE
Materials fee – $20 (Pay to Steve Bernard)
The instructor will provide textbooks for all four quarters.
